The Lamb & Flag

Leeds Brewery's Newest Addition

After months of meticulous restoration work, Leeds Brewery’s latest addition to its growing family of pubs opened its doors on the 3rd July.

Named ‘The Lamb and Flag’ as a nod to its iconic next door neighbour: Leeds Minster, the building has been restored to its former glory and returned to its original purpose as a public house, just as it was in the 19th Century before being converted into offices and then falling into disrepair and vandalism. The ‘Lamb’ mixes warm exposed brickwork with big open windows and a superb courtyard beer garden. It also has plenty of space for private bookings, with a separate upstairs bar and balcony and a downstairs snug with private terrace. You’ll find the full range of Leeds Brewery beers behind the bar, complemented by an extensive range of draught lagers, wines, spirits, soft drinks and the kitchen dishes up classic pub favourites, all of which are locally sourced and freshly cooked meals. What’s not to love?

The pub spans two floors and features a sizeable lawned beer garden and an upper terrace, just in time for the upcoming summer afternoons. The Lamb and Flag serves up staple Leeds Brewery beers including Yorkshire Gold and Leeds Best as well as an ever-changing range of guest ales and freshly cooked and locally sourced food.

"We’ve worked hard to keep as much of the original brickwork and decor as we can."

Sam Moss

Director of Leeds Brewery, Sam Moss said, “Where we have been forced to replace some elements, we’ve recreated them as faithfully as possible. We've worked hard to keep as much of the original brickwork and decor as we can. The building’s heritage is as rich as any other historic building in Leeds and it’s important to maintain that.”

"It’s rewarding to see it all finally come together and everyone at Leeds Brewery are excited to see the doors finally open to the public."

The Lamb and Flag celebrated its launch day on the 3rd July and friends and family were invited down to enjoy the beautiful building and a spot of Leeds Brewery’s own beer. We look forward to welcoming you for a sunny afternoon tipple or a burger from our purpose build BBQ hatch.
