Yorkshie Gold has joined Leeds Best and Hellfire as part of Leeds Brewery’s expanding bottled beer range.
The 4% beer is a light hoppy ale and uses American Chinook hops to create an easy drinking beer with a crisp grapefruity finish. It is now available in 500ml bottles in cases of eight from the brewery and independent suppliers across Yorkshire.
Leeds Brewery have signed a deal with Sainsbury’s which will see its bottled beers available in supermarkets across Yorkshire.
Leeds Best will be on the shelves of around 100 Sainsbury’s, including a large number of ‘Sainsbury’s Local’ convenience stores throughout the Yorkshire region. Leeds Best (4.3%) is the brewery’s ‘traditional Yorkshire bitter’, and is available in 500ml bottles.
Hellfire will also be available in 17 of Sainsbury’s larger stores. The 5.2% fiery pale ale, is only available in bottles and within the supermarket sector is exclusive to Sainsbury’s.
Leeds Brewery director Sam Moss commented; ‘to be able to work with Sainsbury’s across the whole of the Yorkshire region is a wonderful opportunity for us. We’ve only recently begun to bottle Leeds Best and Hellfire following further expansion at the brewery, so to have the bottles on the shelves of a major supermarket is a great achievement’.
