Cask Ale Week is where we show great appreciation for our favourite pints. The nation celebrate cask ales from breweries and pubs from up and down the country to show their support for the beers they produce.
Many different events take place in both breweries and pubs across the country in order to promote their range of cask ales, such as special brews, beer tastings, offers, free pints and more. And of course we weren’t going to miss the opportunity to show off our very own cask range!
Head to any of the 7 Leeds Brewery pubs to collect your stamp card, order a pint of one of our cask ales in 4 different pubs making sure you get a stamp for each on your card, then show a member of our team behind the bar and ask them to pull you a free pint of a Leeds Brewery ale of your choice.
You can choose from any 4 of our cask ales:
Leeds Pale is a classic pale ale and is by far our most popular beer. It is a fairly low 3.8% and is our permanent session ale. Of all of the beer we brew each week around 75% of it is Leeds Pale. It most definitely fits our 2 pint ethos due to its mellow flavours and low alcohol content. It is light and hoppy with low bitterness and a lovely floral finish. It’s the obvious choice!
As you might have guessed, our Yorkshire Gold is a true Yorkshire pint. It has more hops than Leeds Pale giving it more of a tropical flavour with less sweetness. It also has grapefruit notes and a deeper, more lasting bitterness. It uses the same Pale Ale malt as Leeds Pale meaning it is light in colour. With again, a relatively low ABV of 4% it is a very sessionable and easy drinking pint.
Midnight Bell, named after our first pub opening back in 2008, is our premium dark ale. If you’re a dark mild and stout drinker then this one is for you. The crystal and chocolate malts combine with wonderful Willamette hops to give a full bodied, complex character to this award winning ale and at 4.8% ABV, it’s the strongest of our cask ales.
Our Leeds best is known as our golden best bitter and is a classic Yorkshire pint. British malted barley, English First Gold and Goldings hops blend perfectly with our unique Yorkshire yeast to create a full flavoured, well balanced beer.
We recommend trying one of each and comparing them for yourselves, or if you’ve got already got a favourite then stick to what you know and look forward to your 5th pint being on us! LB
