Leeds Brewery’s outdoor spaces
As the British summer is looming and the temperature is increasing, it seems like a good opportunity to make you aware of our pub’s beer gardens, so you know just where to go to enjoy a pint and catch some rays.
At Leeds Brewery we are renowned for having some of the best beer gardens in the city, so here we have selected a few of our favourites.
At the Lamb & Flag you will find a good sized beer garden in the courtyard at the back of the pub next door to the Leeds Minster. After the building was newly renovated and opened in the summer last year, the beer garden proved to be a big hit and we are hoping it will be again this year. Their first floor balcony area looks down onto the courtyard with a beautiful view of the Leeds Minster, an ideal place to sit and relax with a drink on a summer’s evening.
The beer garden is also home to a purpose built BBQ hatch area that is used throughout the summer months and this year they have decided to host a BBQ evening every Friday, so feel free to join them for a beer and a burger.
The Midnight Bell’s outside courtyard, hidden within the Holbeck Urban village is by far one of the best pub gardens in Leeds during the summer months. A large, spacious area surrounded by the trendy offices in Holbeck that becomes the perfect sunspot all throughout the day. There is also a charcoal BBQ that is used to cater for private events - a great option for all your summer parties.
Our newest member of the Leeds Brewery family, located in the bustling city of York, is the Eagle & Child. Located on the ground floor is the dining room that leads out into the beer garden at the back of the pub, a perfect place for summer events and BBQs. The space is enclosed so if you’re looking for a secluded seating area to take a break from exploring the city, you can stop off and see us for an afternoon tipple and some homemade pub food.
The Brewery Tap is another home to great beer and a great beer garden. With a cosy terrace looking over the train station, it’s a real suntrap and an ideal people watching spot. When the sun is shining it’s a great place to sit, watch the world go by and soak up the rays, and with a BBQ available out on the terrace, you can be tempted by the smell of freshly cooked burgers.
At Crowd of Favours, situated just off Kirkgate, is a private beer garden that becomes a glorious little sun trap to sit and get the beer flowing. When the sun is shining, it’s definitely worth taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the the city centre and paying a visit.
Remember that all of our pub’s beer gardens are available to hire, so if you’re planning a summer party or BBQ, don’t hesitate to speak to a member of our staff and they will be happy to answer any questions you might have. We’ve got our fingers crossed for a heatwave this summer so you can enjoy our refreshing pints outside in the sunshine. LB
