We have bagged two prizes for our beers in the World Beer Awards
After entering the World Beer Awards, we have come away with not one, but two awards under our belt. Our Leeds Best won bronze in the Bitter 4-5% category and our Midnight Bell came out on top in the Mild Dark Ale category winning gold.
Leeds Best is a well balanced classic Yorkshire bitter, using our blend of English First Gold and Goldings hops with our unique Yorkshire yeast to create a full flavoured pint.
Our Midnight Bell with crystal and chocolate malts combined with wonderful Willamette hops gives a full bodied, complex character to this premium dark mild.
“Fruity nose, very appealing, giving away its strength. Well rounded and balanced with a lingering aftertaste.”
The World Beer Awards are the global awards selecting the very best internationally recognised beer styles. This annual tasting selects, awards and promotes the 'World's Best Beers' to consumers and the trade throughout the world. Beers must be generally available and for sale in bottles or cans.
Brewers, importers, wholesalers, retailers for beers anywhere in the world can enter into the awards. There’s a lot of competition so we are pretty chuffed to of had two beers recognised!
There are 8 categories of common beer groupings, each category grouped by the beer ‘style’. For details of the categories, this year's winners and the awards themselves visit www.worldbeerawards.com/2016
If you haven’t sampled our award winning beer then head to any of the Leeds Brewery pubs for a pint of Midnight Bell or Leeds Best. Cheers! LB
