Introducing the pub's new summer menus

With summer lurking just around the corner, we thought it was about time we launched our summer here they are!

The summer menus will be available from Monday 24th April across all 7 of the Leeds Brewery pubs. The chefs have been getting creative in the kitchen to bring you some delicious seasonal dishes that they can’t wait to share with you.

There are 3 new menus; a dining menu at the Lamb & Flag, The Midnight Bell and the Eagle & Child, a menu that provides a more casual dining experience at Crowd of Favours and The Brewery Tap and finally, a classic pub menu at The White Swan and the Duke of York.

All of the menus have been carefully thought out by the pub’s talented chefs and use locally sourced ingredients from trusted suppliers

So, what are our new additions and summer specials?

You can’t have a summer menu without a good salad. Offering up a grilled tuna nicoise with new potatoes, tomatoes, green beans, olives, soft boiled eggs and dressed leaves, it’s a hearty, healthy salad for all of you watching your summer bodies. Other salads include a rump steak and Yorkshire Blue cheese, chargrilled chicken caesar and smoked bacon and one for the veggies - a halloumi and chargrilled vegetable salad with vinaigrette dressing.

Don’t worry, there’s more to the menu than just salads. How about something meaty to get your teeth stuck into? Try the roasted lamb rump with seasonal greens, turned potatoes and a rosemary and red wine sauce or the pork tenderloin with crispy crackling, fondant potato and a cider and bacon sauce...delicious!

There are also a couple of summer specials on the dining menu that can’t go without a mention; pan fried sea bass with lemon and caper butter, crushed new potatoes and seasonal greens or the wild mushroom tagliatelle, in a white wine and tarragon cream sauce - you’ll have to come and try them yourselves.

If you’re after a light bite at lunchtime we recommend the Yorkshire Ploughman’s - Cryer and Stott pork pie, Yorkshire Dales ham, Hellfire ale cheddar, Yorkshire Blue, toasted bloomer and sliced apple. Alternatively, sample one of the many sandwiches on the menu; Leeds Best battered fish finger, slow cooked English ham and wholegrain mustard with tomato and piccalilli, pulled pork wrap with Gathering Storm BBQ sauce or chargrilled halloumi wrap with roasted peppers and sun-blushed tomato pesto.

Of course, our menus still include all of your favourite pub classics such as Leeds Best battered haddock with twice cooked chips, steak and Midnight Bell ale pie topped with a puff pastry lid and Yorkshire Dales gammon or 8oz rump steak with twice cooked chips and all the trimmings.

There’s plenty more dishes for you to choose from the extensive menus, we can guarantee there’s something for everyone. Come on down from 12pm on Monday 24th April to be one of the first to try the new menus. We’d love to know what you think so don't hesitate to give us your feedback. LB
