Introducing our November seasonal cask
It’s time for the launch of our latest seasonal cask and this month we are launching Fireside Pale. This traditional British pale ale uses primarily British malted barley and hops to create a full bodied, well balanced pint.
After the success of our American Pumpkin Ale, we are looking forward to introducing this next seasonal beer. At 4.1%, Fireside is one of our lower abv beers making it a great session pint.
'The pale ale is brewed with additional malts to provide a greater mouthfeel'
The additional malts help to balance out the bitterness provided by traditional English hops at the start of boil and the aroma provided by the massive quantities of Columbus hops added at the end of boil. The addition of Columbus is used to lift the hop profile and give the beer a citrus and herbal aroma. The tasting notes for this hop are black pepper, liquorice and sherbet.
The winter nights are upon us and as the name suggests, this seasonal is a pint to cosy up with by a log burning fire. If you’re out and about in Leeds then come and sit by the fire crackling away in The Midnight Bell, or if you’re having a stroll around York city centre then take a break and pop into the Duke of York where you will be welcomed with their glowing fireplace and big comfortable chairs.
We also have a selection of seasonal drinks available at our pubs, including Baileys hot chocolate, mulled wine and cider, hot toddies and tea or coffee. Shelter from the cold this winter and sink back into one of our comfortable chairs with a pint of our November seasonal or a winter warmer. LB
